Shearing Ratio
Area of the operating piston exposed to the close operating pressure during shearing operations divided by the cross-sectional area of the piston shaft exposed to wellbore pressure (generally the higher value of the closing ratios provided by the manufacturer). NOTE: The shearing ratio is dependent on piston size and/or booster addition.
