Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico Becomes Newest Permanent Training Facility

Ciudad del Carmen

The official opening of Wild Well's newest permanent training facility takes place in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, June 2013, with the grand opening of an advanced training facility designed specifically for supervisory level training.

The Carmen facility will provide training in subsea operations for offshore Mexico, offering three simulators to meet students' needs.

The facility will offer Drilling Subsea and Drilling Workover Subsea courses. Also, a Mexico-based phone number will provide easier registration opportunities by eliminating the need for international calls.

Home to more than 175,000 people, Carmen is located in the center of offshore drilling activity in the Gulf of Mexico near the Yucatan Peninsula. Carmen's population exploded in the 1970s after several big oil finds brought droves of opportunity to the sleepy island community.

And Carmen, nicknamed The Pearl of the Gulf, serves the best seafood in all of Mexico.
